Ola Electric starts delivery of 9.1 kWh battery storage system Ola Shakti

MUMBAI – Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. Sunday said it has begun delivery of its 9.1 kilowatt-hour residential battery energy storage system solution powered by 4,680 Bharat cells, Ola Shakti. Deliveries of the 6kW/9.1kWh configuration of Ola Shakti started Sunday in Bengaluru and will be scaled up across the country in the coming months, the company said in an exchange filing.
The electric vehicle maker has also secured the Bureau of Indian Standards certification for the 3kW/5.2kWh configuration of Ola Shakti, it said in the filing. This follows BIS certification received earlier for the 6kW/9.1kWh variant in Jan. 15.
With this, Ola Electric is now certified to manufacture and sell both versions of Ola Shakti across India, the company said. Ola Electric had, on a consolidated basis, reported a net loss of INR 4.18 billion for the September quarter on a revenue of INR 6.90 billion. Sunday, its shares closed around 3% lower at INR 31.50 on the National Stock Exchange. The stock market was open Sunday on account of the presentation of the Union Budget for the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar). End
