--Hyundai Motor Jan total sales 73,137 units, up 11.5% on year

--Hyundai Motor Jan domestic sales 59,107 units, up 9.5% on year

--Hyundai Motor Jan exports 14,030 units, up 20.9% on year

MUMBAI – Hyundai Motor India Ltd. registered an 11.5% year-on-year growth in sales in January at 73,137 units, the automobile major said in a press release Sunday. Of these, 59,107 units were sold in the domestic market, up 9.5% on year. The remaining 14,030 units were sold in the overseas markets, reflecting a 20.9% rise on year. This is the highest-ever monthly total sales and domestic sales, the company said in its release.

"As we look ahead in the year, we will continue to lead with purpose – creating enduring value for our customers, empowering our stakeholders and shaping the future of mobility in India," Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarun Garg said.

Hyundai Motor reported consolidated net profit of INR 15.72 billion for the September quarter on revenue of INR 174.61 billion. At 0946 IST, shares of the company traded over 1% higher on the National Stock Exchange at INR 2,222.20.  End
