MUMBAI - NTPC Ltd.'s net profit for the December quarter rose nearly 6% from a year ago to INR 49.87 billion and beat analysts' estimate of INR 49.08 billion. The state-owned power major's revenue for the quarter was INR 406.44 billion, down nearly 2% from INR 413.69 billion a year ago.
