Akzo Nobel India to be renamed JSW Dulux following acquisition

--Akzo Nobel to change co name to 'JSW Dulux Limited'
MUMBAI - Akzo Nobel India Ltd. Wednesday said its board has approved renaming the company as "JSW Dulux Ltd." after it got approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for the change of name. However, shareholders are yet to approve the renaming. JSW Paints Ltd. recently acquired Akzo Nobel India.
JSW Paints had acquired an additional 60.76% stake in Akzo Nobel's India operations in late December and currently holds 61.20% in the company. In June, JSW Paints had signed a definitive agreement to buy 74.76% stake in Akzo Nobel's India operations from Akzo Nobel N.V. and affiliates for up to INR 89.86 billion.
For the September quarter, Akzo Nobel India had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 16.83 billion on a revenue of INR 8.35 billion. Wednesday, its shares closed 2.5% lower on the National Stock Exchange at INR 2,828.20. End
