HYDERABAD – Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. expects international flight operations at its recently-opened Navi Mumbai International Airport to begin in Apr-Jun as the airport is currently streamlining domestic services, Arun Bansal, chief executive officer, said here Wednesday.
Navi Mumbai airport, developed by the Adani group, started commercial operations from Dec. 25, though it was officially inaugurated in October. Adani Airport Holdings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd. and the airport management arm of Adani group.
Speaking on the sideline of Wings India 2026 event, Bansal said night landing facility at the new airport is expected to begin in February. "We were now running constrained operations (at Navi Mumbai). We are going to run 24-hour operations from next month. Then the (passenger) growth will continue," he said.
On ramping up the cargo operations at the Navi Mumbai airport, the CEO said the company is engaged in discussion with trade partners. "Discussion is on with trade. We need to do it in a controlled way. We need to create more airside at Navi Mumbai airport," he said.
