--Dangote hires Engineers India for $350 mln to be project mgmt consultant 

 

MUMBAI – Nigeria-based Dangote group has hired Engineers India Ltd. as a consultant for project management and engineering, procurement, and construction management for a capacity expansion project. Engineers India will provide consultancy services on expanding the capacity of Dangate's refinery to 1.40 million barrels per day from 650,000 barrels per day, according to an exchange filing on Saturday. The contract value for the consultancy services is over $350 million.

 

"The proposed expansion to 1.4 million barrels per day is a project of global significance and will stand among the largest refinery complexes at a single location," Engineers India said. "Once completed, this expansion will position Dangote as the world's largest petroleum refinery..."

 

Engineers India had reported a net profit of INR 1.15 billion for the September quarter on revenue of INR 9.00 billion. On Friday, shares of the company closed at INR 187.17 on the National Stock Exchange, down 5%.  End
