MUMBAI – GMR Airports Ltd. handled 10.68 million passengers in December, down 1.9% on year, the company said in an exchange filing Friday. For the December quarter, the company's passenger traffic was 31.89 million, up 2.6% on year. For the nine months ended December, passenger traffic was 89.83 million, up 0.9% on year.

 

GMR Airports' domestic traffic was up 0.2% on year and international traffic was up 2.9% so far this financial year. Passenger traffic has remained in the range of 9-10 million passengers per month since October 2023, the company said.

 

The company operates airports in Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The passenger traffic data does not include that of the Philippines airport, which the company has sold. The company is only operating the Philippines airport as a technical services provider until December 2026. 

 

The total domestic passenger traffic in Delhi airport was down nearly 2% on year in December and up 2.9% for the quarter. International passenger traffic at the airport rose 2.9% on year in December.

 

For the quarter ended September, GMR Airports reported a consolidated net loss of INR 370.9 million on a revenue of INR 36.70 billion. On Friday, its shares closed 0.2% higher at INR 99.90 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
