MUMBAI – Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd. announced Thursday that its iron ore volumes for the nine months ended December have surpassed the annual production volume in 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), according to provisional data released by the company.

 

The company reported a 50% year-on-year growth in its iron ore output to 12.9 million tonnes for Apr-Dec and a 110% on-year increase in the segment for just the December quarter to 5.5 million tonnes. The company said the growth was driven by on-site mining activities and the commissioning of the slurry pipeline, which supported more efficient evacuation. 

 

For Apr-Dec, the company produced 291,099 tonnes of direct reduced iron as compared to 238,433 tonnes during the same period last year, up 22%, according to provisional data. The jump in production in the segment was supported by its recently comissioned 360-kilotonne-per-annum direct reduced iron facility at Ghugus, Maharashtra. 

 

For the September quarter, Lloyds Metals and Energy had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 5.72 billion on a consolidated revenue of INR 36.51 billion. On Thursday, shares of the company closed 2.35% higher at INR 1,352.40 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
