NEW DELHI – Benefitting from the rise in demand after the recent cut in goods and services tax rates, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. registered 6.6% year-on-year growth in sales in December at 58,702 units, the automobile major said in a press release Thursday. Of these, 42,416 units were sold in the domestic market, up 0.5% on year. The remaining 16,286 units were sold in the overseas markets, reflecting a 26.5% rise on year.
"The all-new Hyundai VENUE continues to receive strong customer interest with bookings received already reaching the 55,000 mark in less than 2 months of launch," Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarun Garg said.
The company ended calendar year 2025 with an "optimised network stock, ensuring healthy inventory management," according to the release.
Hyundai Motor reported consolidated net profit of INR 15.72 billion for the September quarter on revenue of INR 174.61 billion. Thursday, shares of the company ended 0.6% higher on the National Stock Exchange at INR 2,310.80. End
