--Unsoo Kim resigns as managing director of Hyundai Motor India 

 

NEW DELHI – Hyundai Motor India Ltd.'s Managing Director Unsoo Kim has stepped down with effect from the close of business hours Wednesday, the company said in an exchange filing. In a filing in October, Hyundai Motor had said Kim would return to South Korea for a strategic role at the parent company.

 

Along with Kim, three other senior management personnel of the company–-Jeongick Lee, function head, corporate affairs, Hyoung Soon Yoon, function head, product strategy and planning, and Jae Wan Ryu, function head, corporate planning–-also resigned effective the end of business hours Wednesday, according to the company's latest filing.

 

Kim will be replaced by Tarun Garg, who will take over as managing director and chief executive officer Jan. 1. For the September quarter, Hyundai Motor had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 15.72 billion on a revenue of INR 174.61 billion. Wednesday, shares of the company ended slightly lower on the National Stock Exchange at INR 2,298.  End
