NEW DELHI – Dilip Buildcon Ltd. will no longer operate as only engineering, procurement and construction business, but aims to set up a renewable energy infrastructure investment trust, the company's spokesperson told Informist. The company did not reveal further details such as the size of the InvIT and the timeline for its launch.
"We are strategically evolving our business model and will no longer operate only as an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) company. Instead, we are focusing on building a diversified portfolio of asset classes (road InvT, mining assets) on the strength of our EPC business," the spokesperson said, adding that the solar power plant project win in Madhya Pradesh is a step forward in this direction with the end goal being setting up a renewable energy InvIT.
Dilip Buildcon Monday said it had emerged as the lowest bidder for a 1.36-gigawatt project worth INR 49 billion in Madhya Pradesh. Shares of the company rose nearly 6?ter the disclosure but have since pared gains to some extent. The project involves establishment of grid-connected solar photovoltaic-based power plants under the feeder solarisation component of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM KUSUM) scheme – C.
Dilip Buildcon has a 74% stake in Anantam Highways InvIT, which was listed on the National Stock Exchange and BSE in October. The InvIT holds seven hybrid annuity model road projects developed by Dilip Buildcon, with a combined enterprise value of around INR 45 billion.
The company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 408.48 million for the September quarter on revenues of INR 14.17 billion. At 1236 IST, shares of the company traded over 1% lower on the NSE at INR 468.80. End
