Lemon Tree inks pact for 80-room hotel in Bandipur, Nepal

AHMEDABAD – Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd. Monday announced the signing of an 80-room property at Bandipur in Nepal. The property will be managed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Carnation Hotels Pvt. Ltd., the company said in a filing with the stock exchanges.
As per the filing, the property will cater to business and leisure travellers. Located between Kathmandu and Pokhara, Bandipur is known for its traditional Newari architecture, cobblestone streets, and cultural heritage. Located at a height of 1,030 metres above mean sea level, the hotel will be accessible through a 1,700-metre cable car ride. The hotel also houses a restaurant, a bar, a banquet hall, a meeting room, and recreational facilities as a swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre, Lemon Tree said.
For the September quarter, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 346.02 million on a revenue of INR 3.06 billion. Monday, shares of the company closed over 1% lower at INR 161.25 on the National Stock Exchange.
