HYDERABAD - Bengaluru-based Brigade Enterprises Ltd. has emerged the highest bidder for a 4.04-acre land parcel in Hyderabad through a government auction by quoting INR 1.18 billion per acre, a government official told Informist. The total value of the land parcel will be around INR 4.76 billion, the official said.
Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, a government agency responsible for development and sale of government land around Hyderabad, had conducted the e-auctions and finalised the successful bidders of the first phase of auctions of Neopolis layout in Kokapet area of the city. Brigade Enterprises' bid was for plot number 20, the official said. For plot number 19, the highest bid was at INR 1.31 billion per acre submitted by privately-held Youla Construction LLP, the official said.
Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has offered a total of 27 acres in Neopolis layout, a premium residential area, connecting the high-tech city, which is a hub of software and technology companies. Last week, Godrej Properties Ltd. emerged as highest bidder for a five-acre plot in the same layout by quoting INR 1.47 billion per acre.
The government agency has so far gained INR 37 billion rupees from the 27 acres of land, divided into six land parcels.
The third round of e-auction results will be finalised on Friday, the official said.
At 1152 IST, Brigade Enterprises shares were at INR 892.25 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.8% from the previous close. End
