--Indian Bank cuts MCLR by 5 bps on one-year tenure
NEW DELHI – Indian Bank has slashed the marginal cost of funds-based lending rate for one-year tenure by five basis points, the bank informed exchanges Monday. The lending rate for the one-year tenure will be 8.80% from Wednesday.
The bank has left the marginal cost of funds-based lending rates for all other tenures unchanged. The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review their MCLR every month. Indian Bank had reported a net profit of INR 30.18 billion, up nearly 12% on year, in the September quarter. The shares of the bank Monday closed 2% higher at INR 887.40 on the National Stock Exchange.
