M&M's despatches rise 19% on year in Nov to 92,670 units, exports up 5%

NEW DELHI – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s wholesale sales rose 19% on year in November to 92,670 vehicles, the automobile major said in a press release Monday. Of these, 89,747 units were sold in the domestic market, up 19% on year. The remaining 2,923 units were sold overseas, reflecting 5% growth year-on-year.
Of the total domestic sales of the automaker in November, 56,336 were utility vehicles, up 22% on year. The company's commercial vehicle sales to domestic dealerships in November rose 17% on year to 24,843 units. Sales of light commercial vehicles with load capacity below 2 tonnes rose 5% on year to 3,255 in November, while sales of light commercial vehicles with a payload capacity between 2 and 3.5 tonnes grew 20% on year to 21,588.
M&M sold 8,568 three-wheelers at home in November, up 7% on year.
In the first eight months of the ongoing financial year, the company sold 425,530 utility vehicles in India, up 18% on year. The company's exports in the same period rose 30% on year to 27,241 units. M&M's three-wheeler sales at home rose 28% on year in Apr-Nov to 74,908 units.
TRACTOR SEGMENT
M&M sold 44,048 tractors in November, up 32% on year. Domestic sales comprised a lion's share in this, at 42,273 units, up 33% on year. Meanwhile, exports of tractors in November rose 9% on year to 1,775 units.
"This comes on the back of a strong growth of 27% for the festive period of September and October 2025. There is positive sentiment among farmers with record production this kharif season and increase in rabi sowing acreage," said Veejay Nakra, president of the company's farm equipment business. Nakra added that the Goods and Services tax cut, coupled with higher minimum support prices was leading to a positive cash flow for farmers and aiding demand for tractors and farm implements.
In Apr-Nov, M&M recorded 19% growth in tractor sales at 374,733 units. Within this, 361,680 units were sold at home, up 20% on year. The remaining 13,053 units were sold overseas, reflecting 15% year-on-year growth in exports for the period.
For the September quarter, M&M reported a net profit of INR 45.21 billion on revenue of INR 350.80 billion. At 1205 IST, shares of the company traded at INR 3,746.40 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.3%. End
