--M&M launches Formula E-inspired electric SUV starting at INR 2.37 mln
AHMEDABAD--Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Wednesday launched BE 6 Formula E Edition 2, a new variant of its electric sports utility vehicle inspired by Formula E racing, the company said in an exchange filing.
Price starting INR 2.37 million, bookings for this new variant open on Jan. 14 and deliveries will begin from Feb. 14. Other than housing all the features of BE 6, the new variant can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 202 km/hr.
Its motor generates 282 brake horse power with 79 kilowatthour battery delivering 500 kilometer "real-world range", the company said in the filing.
For the quarter ended September, M&M reported a net profit of INR 45.21 billion on a revenue of INR 350.80 billion. Wednesday, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra closed 0.5% higher at INR 3,686.40 on the National Stock Exchange. End
