NEW DELHI – India and Slovenia reviewed the bilateral trade and investment relations at the 10th session of joint committee on trade and economic cooperation. The two sides also explored cooperation across agriculture, energy, pharmaceuticals and health sectors, the commerce ministry said Wednesday.

"The session provided a platform to review the current state of bilateral economic engagement, strengthen cooperation across key sectors, and chart a forward-looking roadmap for trade and investment between the two nations," the ministry said in a release. "Bilateral trade between India and Slovenia has shown a consistent upward trajectory over the past several years, reflecting the growing depth and resilience of the partnership. The total trade between India and Slovenia was $846.62 million in 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), down 5.4% on year. 

Slovenia's strategic location and India's expanding engagement with Europe provides a strong foundation for deepening cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, and connectivity, the ministry said. The two sides also discussed cooperation across chemicals and pharmaceuticals, transport, tourism, micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as other trade and business-related matters.  End
