EIA says US natural gas stocks rise 45 bcf in week ended Nov 7

MUMBAI – US natural gas inventories rose 45 billion cubic feet in the week ended Nov. 7, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration. The inventory was nearly 5% higher than the five-year average for this time of the year, the agency said in its weekly report.
The total gas in underground storage was 3.96 trillion cubic feet as of Nov. 7, down 0.2% from a year ago. The stocks were 172 billion cubic feet higher than the five-year average of 3.79 trillion cubic feet, the report said.
Total working gas remained within the five-year historical range. The east, midwest, mountain, and south central, which include salt and non-salt regions, and Pacific regions, saw a rise in inventory, according to the report. At 1207 IST, the most active December contract of natural gas on the New York Mercantile Exchange was down nearly 3% from the previous close at $4.509 per million British thermal units. End
