IMD sees cold wave to severe cold wave in parts of MP, Chhattisgarh till Thu

MUMBAI – Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are expected in parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till Thursday, the India Meteorological Department said. Cold wave conditions are likely in the same regions on Friday and Saturday, the department said.
Cold wave conditions are also likely in pockets of east Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh till Saturday, it said.
Shallow to moderate fog conditions are expected over northeast India in the next five days, the weather bureau said. Minimum temperatures in the region are likely to fall by 2–3 degrees Celsius in the next four to five days, it said. No major changes in minimum temperatures are expected over northwest, west, central, and east India in the next six to seven days, the bureau said.
Light to moderate rainfall with a few spells of heavy showers are expected over parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema on Monday and Tuesday, and over Kerala till Thursday, the weather department said. End
