NEW DELHI – Home Minister Amit Shah Tuesday chaired high-level security review meetings following the car blast incident in the national capital on Monday, and instructed senior officials to hunt down each and every culprit behind the incident. "Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies," Shah said in a post on X after the meetings.

The first meeting was attended by the home secretary, director of the Intelligence Bureau, director general of the National Investigation Agency, and commissioner of the Delhi Police, the ministry said in a release. The director general of the Jammu & Kashmir Police also joined the meeting through video conference, it added.

The second meeting was attended by the home secretary, director of Intelligence Bureau, director general of the National Security Guards, director general of National Investigation Agency, director of Forensic Science Services, chief director of Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi, and other senior officials, the ministry said.

The deadly car blast in Delhi on Monday, which has claimed 13 lives so far, likely had linkages with terrorist activities and the Delhi Police has booked the case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The national capital has been placed on high alert with strict vigil being maintained at the airport, railway stations, and bus terminals.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the conspirators behind the attack would not be spared. "Our agencies will get to the very bottom of this conspiracy," Modi said. "All those responsible will be brought to justice."  End
