--Minister Rijiju: To hold Winter session of Parliament from Dec 1-19
NEW DELHI – The government will conduct the Winter Session of Parliament from Dec. 1 to Dec. 19, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said Saturday in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
"The Hon'ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji has approved the proposal of the Government to convene the #WinterSession of #Parliament from 1st December 2025 to 19th December, 2025 (subject to exigencies of Parliamentary business)," Rijiju said. "Looking forward to a constructive & meaningful Session that strengthens our democracy & serves the aspirations of the people."
The Monsoon Session of the Parliament took place from Jul. 21 to Aug. 21 and saw the passing of key bills on online gaming and income tax. Issues such as India-US trade relations and Operation Sindoor were also discussed in the Monsoon Session. End
