Grasim Industries Q2 net profit rises nearly 12% on year to INR 8.05 bln

MUMBAI – The net profit of Grasim Industries Ltd. rose nearly 12% to INR 8.05 billion in the September quarter from INR 7.21 billion a year ago. The net profit was higher than analysts' estimate of INR 7.93 billion. The company's revenue for the quarter rose a little over 26% to INR 96.10 billion from INR 76.23 billion a year ago and exceeded analysts' estimate of INR 93.37 billion.
