Power Grid's Q2 net profit falls over 4% on year to INR 35.55 bln

MUMBAI - Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd.'s net profit for the quarter ended September fell a little over 4% to INR 35.55 billion from INR 37.11 billion a year ago. Analysts had pegged the net profit at INR 37.83 billion. The company's revenue for the quarter was INR 100 billion, down 2.5% from INR 102.60 billion a year ago. The company has announced an interim dividend of INR 4.50 per share.
