UPI transactions value surge 16% on year to INR 27.28 tln in Oct

MUMBAI – The number of Unified Payments Interface transactions rose to 20.70 billion in October, marking a 25% rise from a year ago, data from the National Payments Corp. of India showed. In value terms, UPI transactions increased 16% on year to INR 27.28 trillion in October.
The number of UPI transactions had recorded a 31% jump in September, and a 21% growth in transactions value. The average daily UPI transaction count in October was 668 million, slightly higher than 654 million in September. The average daily transaction value was INR 879.93 billion in October, compared to INR 829.91 billion in September, data showed. End
