RBI central board reviews econ landscape, fincl mkt developments, challenges

NEW DELHI – The central board of directors of the Reserve Bank of India Friday reviewed the emerging global and domestic economic landscape, including the evolving geopolitical situation, financial market developments, and associated challenges, the central bank said in a release. The board also assessed the activities of the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corp. and reviewed the functioning of its various subcommittees.
This was the 619th meeting of the RBI's central board and was held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, under the chairmanship of Governor Sanjay Malhotra. The board also assessed the activities of select departments, including the Consumer Education and Protection Department, the RBI said in its release. End
