NEW DELHI – India's services trade surplus widened to $18.83 billion in September from $15.60 billion in August, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India Friday.

 

Services exports rose 12.5% on year to $36.67 billion in September and imports rose 7.8% to $17.84 billion. Services exports and imports were at $31.19 billion and $15.59 billion, respectively, in August. For Jul-Sept, India's services exports were $101.60 billion and imports were $50.72 billion.

 

The central bank releases provisional monthly data on India's services trade. This data may be revised when the balance-of-payments data are released quarterly.  End
