Maruti Suzuki Q2 net profit rises over 7% on year to INR 32.93 bln

MUMBAI - Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.'s net profit for the September quarter rose over 7% to INR 32.93 billion from INR 30.69 billion a year ago but was short of analysts' estimate of INR 36.03 billion. The automobile major's revenue for the quarter was INR 421.01 billion, up over 13% from INR 372.03 billion a year ago.
