--Bank of Maharashtra cuts MCLR by 10-25 bps for overnight to 3-mo tenure 

 

NEW DELHI – Bank of Maharashtra has reduced the marginal cost of funds-based lending rates for overnight to three-month tenures by 10-25 basis points, effective Friday, according to an exchange filing. The bank lowered the MCLR for overnight loans by 25 bps to 7.95%, for one-month loans by 10 bps to 8.30%, and for three-month loans by 10 bps to 8.45%.

 

The revised MCLR for the bank now ranges from 7.95% to 8.85% for overnight to one-year tenures. The bank had cut its MCLR in the one-year tenure by 5 bps in September. The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review their MCLR every month.

 

The public sector bank's net profit for the September quarter rose 23% on year to INR 16.33 billion. On Thursday, Bank of Maharashtra's shares ended 2.3% lower at INR 58.43 on the National Stock Exchange.
