Jindal Steel Q2 consolidated net profit falls 26% on year to INR 6.38 bln

MUMBAI – Jindal Steel Ltd.'s consolidated net profit for the September quarter fell 26% to INR 6.38 billion from INR 8.61 billion a year ago but was higher than analysts' estimate of INR 6.31 billion. The company's consolidated revenue for the quarter was INR 116.86 billion, up over 4% from INR 112.13 billion a year ago.
