UltraTech Cement consolidated Q2 net profit surges over 75% on year to INR 12.32 bln

MUMBAI - UltraTech Cement Ltd.'s consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September was INR 12.32 billion, up over 75% from INR 7.03 billion a year ago but lower than analysts' estimate of INR 14.77 billion. The company's consolidated revenue for the quarter was INR 196.07 billion, up over 20% from INR 162.94 billion a year ago. Analysts had pegged the revenue at INR 184.77 billion.
