CPI-AL inflation falls to (-)0.07% in Sept from 1.07% in Aug

NEW DELHI – India's annual inflation based on CPI for agricultural labourers fell to (-)0.07% in September from 1.07% in August, according to data released by the labour ministry Friday. The overall index for agricultural labourers was 136.23 in September, marginally down from 136.34 a month earlier.
The inflation based on CPI for rural labourers fell to 0.31% in September from 1.26% in August. The index for rural labourers fell to 136.42 last month from 136.60 in August.
The government had in July revised the base year for CPI for agricultural labourers and rural labourers to 2019 from 1986-87. The CPI for agricultural labourers and CPI for rural labourers are used to revise minimum wages for agricultural labour and rural labour in different states. End
