EIA says US natural gas stocks rise 80 bcf in week ended Oct 10

MUMBAI – US natural gas inventory rose 80 billion cubic feet in the week ended Oct. 10, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration. The inventory was over 4% higher than the five-year average for this time of the year, the agency said in its weekly report.
The total gas in underground storage was 3.72 trillion cubic feet as of Oct. 10, up around 1% from a year ago. The stocks were 154 billion cubic feet higher than the five-year average of 3.57 trillion cubic feet, the report said.
Total working gas remained within the five-year historical range. The east, midwest, mountain, south central, which includes salt and non-salt regions, and Pacific regions, saw a rise in inventory, according to the report. At 1306 IST, the most-active November contract of natural gas on the New York Mercantile Exchange was down over 1% at $2.902 per million British thermal units. End
