MUMBAI – JSW Energy Ltd. Thursday said its subsidiary JSW Energy (Utkal) Ltd. has won an order from Power Co. of Karnataka Ltd. to supply power for 25 years from Apr. 1. The company has recieved a letter if award for the same, JSW Energy said in an exchange filing.
The coal for the power supply shall be procured from Coal India Ltd. under SHAKTI Scheme. Upon the signing of the power purchase agreement, JSW Energy (Utkal) will have 57% of its total capacity tied up, ensuring significant long-term earnings stability for the plant, the press release said. For the June quarter, JSW Energy had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 7.43 billion on a consolidated revenue of INR 51.43 billion. Thursday, its shares closed 0.5% higher at INR 548.60 on the National Stock Exchange. End
