Just Dial Jul-Sept net profit falls 25% on qtr to INR 1.19 bln

MUMBAI - Just Dial Ltd's net profit for the September quarter declined 25% sequentially to INR 1.19 billion. Revenue from operations for the quarter rose nearly 2% to INR 3.03 billion. On a year-on-year basis, the net profit fell nearly 22.5% while revenue rose 6.4%. Analysts had estimated the company's net profit at INR 1.44 billion in Jul-Sept and revenue at INR 3.05 billion.
Other income fell to INR 733 million from INR 1.27 billion quarter ago.
Total expenditure, including finance cost, was at INR 2.29 billion compared with INR 2.26 billion a quarter ago. Finance cost declined to INR 21.1 million from INR 31.3 million a quarter ago. The company's tax outgo for the September quarter was at INR 275.7 million as against INR 392.6 million a quarter ago.
For the six months ended September, the company's net profit fell 5.5% on year to INR 2.79 billion and revenue rose 6.3% on year to INR 6.01 billion. Monday, shares of Just Dial closed 3.4% higher at INR 860.95 on the National Stock Exchange. End
