NHPC starts filling reservoir for 2 GW Subansiri lower hydroelectric project

MUMBAI – NHPC Ltd. Friday said it has started filling the reservoir for the 2-gigawatt Subansiri lower hydroelectric project, after getting the approval of the National Dam Safety Authority. The company has already boxed up the four generating units of 250 MW each and these units are scheduled to be commissioned in 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the company said in an exchange filing.
For the quarter ended June, the company had reported a net profit of INR 10.72 billion on a revenue of INR 29.77 billion. On Friday, shares of the company ended 0.3% higher at INR 86.94 on the National Stock Exchange. End
