Allianz gone, Bajaj Finserv's insurance companies get new names

NEW DELHI – After the break-up with Germany's Allianz SE, which now partners Jio Financial Services Ltd., Bajaj Finserv Ltd.'s insurance companies have got new names. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd. will now be known as Bajaj General Insurance Ltd. The life insurer will be called Bajaj Life Insurance Ltd., instead of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co. Ltd.
Bajaj Finserv changed the names of its subsidiaries after receiving the fresh certificates of incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Tuesday. Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Holdings and Investment Ltd., and Jamnalal Sons Pvt. Ltd. had bought Allianz SE's 26% stake in the life and general insurance ventures earlier this year. Following this, the Bajaj group's ownership in the two insurance companies rose to 100% from 74%.
Allianz has entered into a joint venture with Jio Financial to form a domestic reinsurance company, Allianz Jio Reinsurance Ltd. End
