Jindal Stainless arm to set up fabrication unit with INR-1.25-bln investment

MUMBAI – Jindal Stainless Steel Ltd. Monday said its wholly-owned subsidiary Jindal Stainless Steelway Ltd. has launched the first stainless steel fabrication unit at Patalganga in Mumbai with an initial investment of INR 1.25 billion. Jindal Stainless Steelway will set up the 400,000 square feet facility that will fabricate critical components, including bridge girders, Jindal Stainless Steel said in an exchange filing.

 

The company expects the fabrication capacity of the unit at 18,000 tonnes per annum by 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) from earlier estimated 4,000 tonnes in FY26. The company expects to create over 250 jobs from the new unit. 

 

Jindal Stainless had reported a net profit of INR 6.42 billion for the June quarter on a revenue of INR 103.41 billion. At 1214 IST, shares of the company were over 2% lower at INR 769.05 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
