NEW DELHI - Waaree Energies Ltd. secured board approval on Wednesday to increase the capacity of lithium ion advanced chemistry storage cell and battery energy storage system manufacturing factory to 20 GWh from the current 3.5 GWh. To facilitate this, Waaree Energies' board has approved additional capital expenditure of INR 80 billion in wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Energy Storage Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

 

The company also received board approval for additional capital expenditure of INR 1.25 billion in wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to increase the capacity of the electrolyser manufacturing factory to 1,000 MW from 300 MW. The board also gave its approval to incur additional capital expenditure of INR 500 million in wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Power Pvt. Ltd. to increase the inverter manufacturing factory to 4 GW from 3 GW.

 

Shares of the company closed at INR 3,332, up 0.1%, on the National Stock Exchange on Wednesday.  End
