MUMBAI – Tata Communications Ltd. Monday said it has been awarded a strategic project to deliver digital infrastructure for the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal benches. The digital infrastructure project includes spanning network fabric, internet of things, cloud, and security, with unified management across domains, the company said in an exchange filing. The company did not specify the potential value of the order from the government which has recently established the tribunal.
The project requires the company to deliver a secure, scalable, and intelligent digital fabric of solutions for the tribunal, whose principal bench is in New Delhi and which will have 31 state benches. Tata Communications will have to set up the tribunal's digital infrastructure which includes spanning local area network, wide area network, software-defined wide area network, video conferencing, cloud services, and advanced security.
The GST Appellate Tribunal needs this digital infrastructure to streamline end-to-end operations and ensure seamless access across all its benches. The project will also enable the tribunal to safeguard its data transfer and ensure operational security while delivering a simplified user experience, according to Tata Communications.
Tata Communications reported a consolidated net profit of INR 1.90 billion for the June quarter, on a consolidated revenue of INR 59.60 billion. At 1319 IST, the shares of the company traded at INR 1,631.70 on the National Stock Exchange, up over 1%. End
