NEW DELHI – The government on Wednesday restricted imports of 'other unstudded jewellery' and 'other jewellery' of precious metals with immediate effect, according to a notification from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. The restriction will remain in place until the end of 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the notification said.
The government had, in June 2024, restricted imports of studded jewellery and parts of precious metals, with the exception of imports from the UAE under the free trade agreement.
