CPI-AL inflation rises to 1.07% in Aug from 0.77% in Jul

NEW DELHI – India's annual inflation based on CPI for agricultural labourers rose to 1.07% in August from 0.77% in July, according to data released by the labour ministry Friday. The overall index for agricultural labourers in August was 136.34, higher than 135.31 in July.
The inflation based on CPI for rural labourers was 1.26% last month compared with 1.01% in July. The index for rural labourers rose to 136.60 in August from 135.66 in July.
The government in July revised the base year for CPI for agricultural labourers and rural labourers to 2019 from 1986-87. CPI for agricultural labourers and CPI for rural labourers is used to revise minimum wages for agricultural labour and rural labour in different states. End
