--Maruti Suzuki cuts prices of entry level cars by up to INR 129,600 

 

MUMBAI – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Thursday said it has reduced prices across its product range with the biggest cuts being on entry-level models to pass on the benefit of the recent reduction in goods and services tax rates on automobiles. The revised prices, with cuts of up to INR 129,600, will come into effect Monday, once the new GST rates kick in, the company said in an exchange filing. 

 

The company reduced the price of its S-Presso model by up to INR 129,600, of the Fronx and Brezza models by up to INR 112,600 and INR 112,700, respectively, and of the Alto Kl0 and Grand Vitara models by up to INR 107,600 and INR 107,000, respectively.

 

For the June quarter, Maruti Suzuki had reported a net profit of INR 37.12 billion on a revenue of INR 384.14 billion. At 1445 IST, shares of the company were down 0.4% at INR 15,740 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
