NEW DELHI – IndusInd Bank Ltd.'s Head of Digital Banking and Strategy Charu Sachdeva Mathur has tendered her resignation from the post on Monday to pursue new opportunities outside the bank, the company informed stock exchanges Monday. Mathur, who has been with the bank for over 12 years, will step down from her position on Dec. 14.

"As I reflect on my stint here, I am proud of the impact my team and I have been able to deliver over last 12 years - from launching several new lines of consumer businesses from scratch in my role as Strategy Head to rolling out industry first digital platforms and applications that transformed customer experience and earned wide recognition," Mathur wrote in her resignation letter addressed to the bank's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Anand and Chief Human Resources Officer Zubin Mody.

IndusInd Bank has faced several exits at senior management level since late April, including of CEO Sumant Kathpalia and deputy CEO Arun Khurana, after the lender reported discrepancies in its derivatives accounting and microfinance loan portfolio for 2024-25 (Apr-Mar). It said the irregularities in the microfinance book were fraud committed against the bank. Mody will himself step down from his position on Oct. 24.

With a net profit of INR 6.84 billion, the bank returned to profitability in Apr-Jun after a rare quarterly loss of INR 22.36 billion in the March quarter, owing to the accounting discrepancies. The lender's net profit declined by a whopping 68% year-on-year as provisions increased by nearly 66% for the quarter ended June. At 0926 IST, shares of the bank were at INR 735.50 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.6%.  End
