--Maruti Suzuki gives introductory price for Victoris starting INR 1.05 mln
NEW DELHI – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Monday said prices of its new mid-sized sport utility vehicle Victoris will start at INR 1.05 million and will go up to INR 2.00 million across 21 variants. Launched earlier this month, sales of the Victoris will commence on Sept. 22, the first day of Navratri, the company said in an exchange filing.
The Victoris will be available in smart hybrid (petrol), strong hybrid, and S-CNG (compressed natural gas) powertrain options in 10 colour options, including three dual tone and seven monotone colours.
Prices of the smart hybrid powertrain option begin at INR 1.05 million and go up to INR 1.92 million. Strong hybrid powertrain variants are priced from INR 1.64 million to INR 2.00 million. CNG-run Victoris will start from INR 1.15 million and can cost up to INR 1.46 million.
"Customers have expressed overwhelming appreciation for the VICTORIS SUV, especially its intelligent technology, hyper-connected features, progressive and sleek design and all-round safety," Maruti Suzuki's Senior Executive Officer Partho Banerjee said in a press release.
Equipped with an underbody CNG tank, the Victoris has received 5-star safety rating. All variants of the model will be available through Maruti Suzuki's Arena showrooms.
Maruti Suzuki's net profit for the June quarter was INR 37.12 billion, on a revenue of INR 384.14 billion. On Monday, its shares closed 0.4% lower on the National Stock Exchange at INR 15,265. End
