MUMBAI – Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Friday said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing to accelerate the development of India's sovereign cloud ecosystem. The collaboration will develop and integrate indigenous innovations into TCS' sovereign cloud stack, the company said in an exchange filing.
The partnership not only ensures adherence to stringent data protection standards but also enables faster enterprise adoption by enhancing security, compliance, and performance across key sectors such as healthcare, defence, smart cities, and banking, financial services and insurance. As India doubles down on self-reliant and secure digital infrastructure, this collaboration aims to deliver scalable, and artificial intelligence-enabled cloud platforms that align with India's data localisation mandates and support the digital transformation of critical public sector services. The collaboration reflects a broader strategic intent, which aims to reduce reliance on global hyperscalers by building a robust, future-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem driven by OpenStack and indigenous technologies, the compay said.
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing is the premier research and development organisation of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for carrying out research and development in information technology, electronics and associated areas.
TCS had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 127.60 billion for the June quarter on revenue of INR 634.37 billion. At 1129 IST, shares of the company were 0.5% up at INR 3,139 on the National Stock Exchange. End
