AHMEDABAD – Bharat Forge Ltd.'s wholly-owned subsidiary Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd. has signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates-based MP3 International to supply 155 mm barrels for howitzers used by armed forces for long-range, high-explosive-fire support, the company said in a filing with the stock exchanges Thursday.
MP3 International is a subsidiary of defence and aerospace player GRADEONE, an entity of the EDGE Group and a leading provider of military hardware, pyrotechnics, ammunition, and other supplies to armed forces of the UAE and other countries, Bharat Forge said.
The company did not share the value of the contract, nor did it share any timelines or volumes of howitzer barrels its subsidiary would supply.
For the June quarter, Bharat Forge had reported a net profit of INR 3.39 billion on a revenue of INR 21.05 billion. Thursday, its shares ended 1% higher at INR 1,211.90 on the National Stock Exchange. End
