Skoda Auto to cut prices of 4 car models by INR 63,000-INR 330,000

MUMBAI – Skoda Auto India Wednesday said it will cut prices of four car models by INR 63,000 to INR 330,000 to pass on the benefits of lower goods and services tax. The revised prices will come into effect from Sept. 22, once the new GST rates take effect, the company said in a press release.
Sport utility vehicle Kodiaq will see the steepest cut of INR 328,267 as the effective tax on the model will come down to 40% from 50% earlier. The other sport utility vehicles Kylaq and Kushaq will see a cut of INR 119,295 and INR 65,828, respectively. The price of sedan Slavia will come down by INR 63,207.
Though the revised prices will be effective Sept. 22, customers can avail similar discounts right now as the company is giving special offers on cars, the press release said. "With demand expected to increase in the festive season, the brand is encouraging customers to book their favourite Skoda early, to ensure delivery during the festive season," the press release said.
