MUMBAI – Bikaji Foods International Ltd. said the Enforcement Directorate has summoned Managing Director Deepak Agarwal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The company clarified in an exchange filing Tuesday that the summons does not mention any violations by Bikaji Foods.
Bikaji Foods said the probe agency's inquiry is at a preliminary stage and the company is not in a position to determine the impact on its financials and operations as yet. The company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 598.96 million in the June quarter on a consolidated revenue of INR 6.53 billion. At 1509 IST, shares of Bikaji Foods were down 2.5% at INR 767.15 on the National Stock Exchange. End
