Tata Power inaugurates large-scale EV charging hub in Mumbai

NEW DELHI – Tata Power Co. Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. Tuesday unveiled a large-scale electric vehicle charging hub in Mumbai under the 'TATA.ev MegaCharger' initiative, the company said in an exchange filing. The infrastructure is located on the premises of The Leela Mumbai Hotel, near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The facility has eight fast direct-current chargers that will charge cars at a speed of up to 120 kilowatts along 16 charging bays. These chargers can be used by all electric vehicle users but customers of Tata Motors Ltd. will get special benefits such as a discount of up to 25% and priority access to the chargers.
For the June quarter, Tata Power had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 10.60 billion on revenue of INR 180.35 billion. At 1420 IST, its shares were 0.2% higher at INR 384.10 on the National Stock Exchange. End
