Tata Comm public shareholder Stewart Investors sells 0.7% shrs for INR 3 bln

MUMBAI – Tata Communications Ltd.'s public shareholder Stewart Investors Asia Pacific Leaders Fund Friday sold almost 2 million shares or 0.7% stake in the company for INR 1,590.01 through a bulk deal on the BSE. This was a 2% premium to the stock's Thursday closing price of INR 1,554 on the BSE and the aggregate deal size was INR 3.16 billion. As of June, Stewart Investors Asia held 2.65% stake or 7.56 million shares in the company, according to data on the BSE's website.
For the quarter ended June, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 1.90 billion on revenue of INR 59.60 billion. Its shares closed at INR 1,549.60 Friday on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.3%. End
